The Medbery, then and now

A historic name with a new chapter to write.

The Medbery has stood on Front Street through generations of change in Ballston Spa. Its story is inseparable from the village, the Inn and the mineral water that once drew visitors from near and far.

Connected to the waters of Ballston Spa.

Ballston Spa grew around mineral springs celebrated for their distinctive character and place in local history. The Sans Souci spring is part of that heritage. At Medbery Spa & Wellness, mineral water continues to be drawn on site for private soaking experiences, creating a living connection between the property’s past and the spa guests enjoy today.

Preserving what matters. Improving what comes next.

Jennifer Comstock became the owner of the spa in 2026 with a clear purpose: protect the Medbery history and name people already knew, while building a warmer, more consistent and more thoughtfully run spa and wellness experience.

Jennifer’s background in leadership, operations and translating complex information into practical action shapes the way Medbery is growing. She is hands-on in the spa and committed to assembling experienced providers, listening closely to guests and continually improving the details that make a visit feel easy and cared for.

The result is not a reinvention disconnected from the past. It is a fresh chapter for a local institution.
